Here at Hill Canine Kennel, a proud member of the Canadian Kennel Club (CKC #1429695), we are dedicated to building our reputation as a trusted family breeder in Alberta. Since 2005, we have been committed to providing loving homes with exceptional canine companions.

Our journey began with breeding toy poodles, but as time passed, we ventured into the world of miniature poodles. However, a few years ago, we fell head over heels for the enchanting Spanish Water Dog breed. Our love affair with these remarkable dogs led us to Praderia, a reputable breeder in Calgary, where we welcomed Belle into our lives. Belle, a CKC-registered Spanish Water Dog born on February 21, 2018, quickly became an integral part of our family, alongside our Miniature Poodles.

Belle, with her affectionate nature and unwavering loyalty, embodies the essence of what it means to be a Spanish Water Dog. From her love of playing fetch to her agility training in Brooks, Alberta, Belle is a true working dog with a heart of gold. With a lineage of champion show dogs, Belle brings both beauty and brains to our kennel.

Izzy, Belle's daughter and a CKC-registered Spanish Water Dog born on June 08, 2020, inherits her mother's gentle temperament and love for the water. While Izzy didn't have the opportunity for agility training due to COVID restrictions, she's a natural in the water and enjoys every moment outdoors. Rico, our CKC-registered natural bob male, born on the same day as Izzy, is a proud member of a strong line of championship show dogs. Despite his smaller size, Rico makes a big impression with his social nature and lightning-fast speed.

All our dogs are tested and are PRA (Progressive Retinal Atrophy) clear. Their health and well-being are of utmost importance to us, and we ensure they receive regular vet checkups and top-quality nutrition. That's why we trust Fromm Family Pet Food, a renowned pet food manufacturer known for their commitment to crafting wholesome recipes with locally sourced ingredients. Fromm Family Pet Food has become an essential part of our dogs' lives, ensuring they receive the nourishment they deserve.

Our initial litter from Belle found homes across North America, from California to New Brunswick. We are fully committed to facilitating the rehoming process, ensuring a seamless transition for both the pups and their new families. We have partnered with both, Sevenoaks Animal Logistics, a reputable international pet transport company, and WestJet to ensure safe and stress-free transportation for our furry friends.
